Books. More of them. Again. Still. (Sorry)

I wrote this last night when I finished reading a(nother) book:

I just read a book called Tangled, and a quarter of it (it was a weird book) was about this guy who was a blogger, and blogged a lot, and maybe was addicted, but not really. I was just like, YES, been there, yo, plus you're cute, we should like, virtually get together ifonlyyouwererealsigh. It was a cute ending. But it was a bad book and I was overall disappointed, don't read it. It had a lot of potential for someone like me, who enjoys sexy-nerd books. But it wasn't a sexy-nerd book, it was a "let's-follow-the-lives-of-four-people-who-met-for-like-a-day book. I've gotten that a lot, wasted potential in books. That's why I'm so happy I read An Abundance of Katherines, because it was AMAZING and such a change from I Am Number Four and the Hunger Games, which is a series I've officially decided I DON'T like. Because the more good things I hear about it the more I remember not finding any really good things about it, and how I was just slightly bored and not believing. Colin, on the other hand, with the thing for Katherines,  and his Not-A-Terrorist-Best-Friend Hassan (note: I really have a thing for Islam, honestly, It's like my favorite religion. More on that later, maybe.) are people I could believe in a little more.

It's getting worse, though, my cynicism. Ever since The Catcher in the Rye I haven't been able to stand phonies. See, my philosophy/thing about The Catcher in the Rye is that Holden is so watchful of phony things or other people doing something phony that he is afraid to do ANYTHING at all himself, because HE doesn't want to risk being phony. Which is actually why he's such a slacker--because he doesn't want to look like he's trying, Someone who tries and doesn't make it is a fake for pretending, and so it's better to just not try at all.
Sorry, that was just a Holden Caufield detour. Also, if we ever have to write a paper on The Cather in the Rye, I CALL THAT TOPIC, consider it taken.

Back to books. Well, back to phony-ness. My point is, I haven't came across a story I think would actually happen. I mean, not HAPPEN, per se, because I'm obviously including fiction/sci-fi in this and I don't want that to HAPPEN, but I do want to believe in it and believe in the characters. Books are just distancing themselves from me and I can't lose myself long enough to just read. I also still have that horrible habit of directing it as if it was a movie in my mind, which is annoying, distracting, and also never going to happen in real life so depressing. To continue.

My opinion of books changes after I read them. I just finished this book Crashed (sequel to Skinned, by Robin Wasserman, she's very good, look her up) and I enjoyed it, but now I don't remember what I liked about it. I probably won't like it at all soon. I guess that's kind of what happened with the Hunger Games too.

This is tragic. Really, it is. I jsut need a really good book to kick me back in.

Hey, is Paper Towns really way better than An Abundance of Katherines?

OKAY, writing from last night ends HERE. Writing from 5 minutes ago BEGINS here.

So this was the second book I've read recently about ideas of the mind working like a computer, connecting to computers, downloading and saving memories, working with memories, etc. The first was Crashed (Robin Wasserman) and this one was Brain Jack, which I think I've mentioned to someone recently... I don't really remember what I talk about.
But it was about this majorly amazing computer hacker, living in the near future (Las Vegas was destroyed in a terrorist attack, and the security is just a little stronger.) and this software (hardware? I don't know what you would call it, it's a headset, but I guess it's kind of a program too) comes out that lets you connect and control a computer just by using brainwaves, instead of having to use a keyboard and mouse. So the hacker is like, well, if you could hack a computer, you could hack a mind, and he joins this government group that protects terrorist hacking attempts and they pretty much discover that and the world implodes, but they don't believe it kind of. Hard to explain. I say implodes because the program just plants memories inside your brain, and you can't really tell the difference. An inner explosion of messed up ness. So anyone who connects is at risk, and they're controlled, and whatever. (It's really hard to explain this book because it has an odd beginning so I kind of have to give away major plot points in my mini description. So spoiler alert. Whoops, too late.)

It was pretty interesting, because I don't actually know much about computers and the finer points about them. And I'm not saying that a science FICTION book set in the FUTURE about BRAIN CONTROLLED COMPUTERS is the most reliable way to learn about something real, but honestly I've learned so much from reading fiction, so, so much, and I trust myself to mostly weed out what's not possible/what didn't happen/what couldn't happen/what was made up. So I believe I learned something from reading this book. Correct me if I'm wrong--actually don't, I like living in a fantasy world.

And also, I like thinking I know things.

Books rock. That was a good one, too. Not the best, but it did kind of lower my book funk a bit and I did lose myself in it for a few chapters. Not enough. I'm not satisfied. I'm hoping that Paper Towns is enough to really do it. I don't know if I'm going to read that next though, don't want to risk it. It's called Perfectionist Paralysis, and I learned about it on Urban Dictionary. It means not being able to start something for fear it won't be perfect.

If you just read ALL OF THAT, I'm very proud of you. It was a lot of words about a lot of other words, and I know most of you don't really share my exact, messed up, random, rambling taste in books or book commentary.

Has anyone read any of these books? Opinions on The Hunger Games (hint: way over rated?)

Sorry for rambling on, but I like to talk about these things and if I try to do it in person you'll get bored and HERE I HAVE YOU IN MY CLUTCHES AND YOU CAN'T INTERRUPT ME OR RUN AWAY OKAY MAYBE YOU CAN RUN AWAY BUT I WILL NEVER KNOW AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY. You know what I mean? Talking over the computer is different because even if you don't read it, it always came out, and you always SAID it. So it counts. Anyway. I hope someone does read this, because I really need someone to talk to about all these books. Because they're killing me. Not literally, obviously, it's just I get a lot from them and it's like my youtube people, if I'm the only one who know's about them, I'm the only one getting (my) references. And I like people getting my references, believe it or not, even more than I like making references.

And on that happy note, I leave you with congratulations for reading this and hopefully you will comment to tell me that you need to be personally congratulated either via the internet commenting zone of blogger or GASP in person.

ps. I'm getting worse at typing. Faster, but more typos. It sucks. Had to pretty much reread everything and correct it. It's so annoying. Typing. God.

pps, this is 1300 words, more or less, probably more including this post post script.

ppps, I will talk about the islam thing maybe later. If this post left you thinking "hey, she said something up there in that mess of crap about why she liked Islam and then she doesn't actually say anything about why she likes Islam." well now I mentioned it in the post post post script and I'm directing you to the future, where there will be a post about it. Hey, would you say "where" there or "when?" I think in that case the future is a noun, right, so it would be a where, but isn't it, like, a time? ACK. Need to stop talking. Okay. Ready. Hitting "publish post.."

POSTING OKAY LOVE YOU BYE NICE TALKING TO YOU.

ALSO, MAKEOVER, I DIDN'T WANT TO, WASTE OF TIME, BUT NECESSARY, IT LOOKED LIKE CRAP BEFORE. MIGHT LOOK EVEN WORSE NOW, I MIGHT REDO. LATER. NOT NOW. NOW I'M SLEEPING, NERDY CONVENTION TO GO TO TOMORROW. FEMALES IN FICTION. FUN. IT WILL BE, I SWEAR. YOU GOING? 7:45 AT ITHACA COLLEGE. WHY AM I STILL IN CAPLOCKS? It's going to be fun, it's at Textor Hall, it's very early and I should be sleeping.

Whatever happened to pressing "publish post?" God. I distract myself easily.

[edit: by the way, I just got back from the convention, and really want to debrief, but not now, but I'm just saying that if you went you've heard this all before and I'm sorry for talking about this stuff and just repeating myself. I actually posted this before talking about those things, so I was kind of quoting myself and I feel bad about it but THESE KIND OF THINGS CAME UP and I just happened to have thought about them before.]

In Which I Pretend to be Ignorant of Pop Culture and MAKE SOMETHING

My dad said that we couldn't use screens for yesterday morning, and I was just like, "Oh! I'll make a Luna Lovegood house!" I don't know where it came from, really, but I have been thinking a lot about how to make circular furniture and what that would feel like to live in and look at. So yeah, I did. I had a lot of fun. It's mostly cardboard and hot glue, but I used some aluminum foil instead of paint (I USED SO MUCH PAINT). It was like, amazing, to make. It took twelve hours almost exactly.
So the small picture on the left is the house from the side, though the side is where the door and stuff is.
The front is where the cutout is. Anyway. Near the front door of the house is signs, like "Keep of the Dirigible Plums," "The Quibbler. Editor: X. Lovegood." And "Pick your own mistletoe."
These are actually signs that were in the book.
I read the chapter "Xenophilus Lovegood" about twenty times slowly, picking out colors and stuff like that. I have no idea how to spell his name. And I'm not going to look it up, so deal.

So the small picture on the right up there is the roof. I don't like it that much, but it's okay.

That's the spiral staircase "in the center of the floor." It took awhile to make.
Okay, so, first floor. The kitchen. If you remember the 7th book as vividly as I do, you would remember that it's perfectly circular (as is the rest of the house), has a staircase in the center of it, and is covered in paintings of flowers in primary colors, very Luna-esque. There's a stove in the background there.
And the floor, again, bright colors and even some glitter.

This is the second floor, you know, the room that looks like "a combination of workplace and living area." There's the printing press on the side there.

Here's a close up. Oh, what's that? What's that? A magazine?! Quibbler, Undesirable No. 1. With a picture of Harry Potter. Interesting, Lovegood. Interesting.

I seriously enjoy that big pile of papers and books. It makes me happy.Too bad it's in the very back of the room, behind the stairs. You can hardly see it.
I also really enjoy this, it's a "Crumplehorned Snorkack" (how do you spell THAT?) Horn, though really a Eurumpet horn or something like that and it BLOWS UP later in the chapter. Well later in the chapter after this chapter. I am not obsessed.
And here's the "living" part of the room, definitely less exciting than the other part. Couch. Chair. Table. Circle windows.

This is Luna's bedroom. Because Harry,  Ron, and Hermione never go above her room, I decided not to bother with, like, her Dad's room or the attic of whatever. So this is the top floor.

She has a bed, a dresser, and a window. The carpet is light blue in the book, and so yeah. I never really figured Luna for a monotonous kind of girl, so I don't know about the blue furniture in addition to that, but I like it anyway. It's kind of like, a Ravenclaw thing, I guess. Because she was in Ravenclaw.

Aluminum Foil mirror. YES.

And of course, the portraits on the wall. I only did Hermione, Harry, and Ron, though Ron isn't supposed to be there, Neville is. Whatever. Three fit, and I guess I thought Ron would make more sense in this.

What I really wanted to do was make a little Harry, Ron, and Hermione knocking on the door, because this is what the house looks like directly before they come in (I wouldn't do after they come, obviously, because they sorta kinda blow it up a little.) Anyway. Do you like it? I took forever on it and I'm very proud of it, even if you don't. It was a totally amazing waste use of my time and glue "slugs." And paint. And fabric. And cardboard. I used so much crap in this thing. I NEVER use my materials, I always save them for whatever. But recently I've just been like, well, if I'm always saving them, I'm NEVER going to use anything, and so then I do something that uses them all, like this.

It was fun.

Okay, now onto the pop culture thing. I'm not ignorant, I just haven't listened to music in awhile. And I'm pretending to be more surprised than I actually am.
I spent most of the time making this listening to the radio,  and I DON'T KNOW WHY I DIDN'T CHANGE IT. Music is so bad now. Okay, so half of the songs just forget to have verses now. It's just like, chorus/chorus/bridge/chorus/chorus/chorus. Not even kidding. I'm not looking for something drastic, just maybe a few extra sentences. I don't know. And also, there's only like three artists ever on. Britney Speares. Bruno Marz. And Rappers with Chicks in Background. That's one artist because they all sound the same. All of the songs are about sex, drinking, dancing, dancing sexily (that's a TaEgogy word, by the way.), drinking hard, or having sex... hard. It's a little bit disgusting. Also, Rihanna is another one of the artists that they play. But they don't play any of her good songs, just the bad ones.

I'm very disappointed.

I've also officially gotten over the movie I watched yesterday and am no longer creeped out. It's not even a BAD DRUGS BAD story anymore to me, it's also a BAD ADDICTION BAD and  DON'T GO CRAZY and SERIOUSLY, DON'T GO CRAZY, and ADDICTIONS. BAD story. I like it.

Okay, back to the house. It was fun. I liked it. Did you like it? What is your favorite detail? Do you know more about Harry Potter book 7 than me and would like to point out a flaw? Where in my house should I put this? Do you like it? What is your favorite detail? I'm just repeating myself, because I really want to know.

My writing is really awkward right now, because.... well I actually don't really know, but it's not very good, and I'm not really in the mood to write, I just did because I wanted to explain my pictures. And my title. Soooooooooooooo.... sorry.

And answer the questions!

'member we saved that girl, mate? you remember that? *DUHNNN*

There are some things that you just don't need to see.
Not that I regret it, Aaron. But it's just that... I didn't need to.... god.
Movie: Requiem for a Dream.

It was an awesome movie, visually. Like all of the camera angles and the cuts and stuff. And the sounds. The sound was really unbelievable.

Okay, I just watched the last minute of Boy A to get over this, and I'm better now.

You know that Jared Leto, the actor who plays Harry (main character of Requiem) had to shave his head and go live as a monk to get over that part? He did. Wikepedia says so. No, but really. "He lived on the streets of New York in preparation for the role, and following the film he moved to Portugal, shaved his head and lived in a monastery for several months to recover." I think that's cool. He's in the band 30 Seconds to Mars? He's like, the head of it. And he directs their music videos. He's pretty cool. And the director of Requiem for a Dream also directed Black Swan, which I haven't seen yet, but I've heard a lot about it. Um. Yeah. I've recovered now. Just trying to keep the image of his arm out of my head....... eugh. Okay. Good.

So, guess what I did today? I was bored, and home alone, so before I watched this movie I MADE HOMEMADE CINNAMON BUNS! It was so cool! I have NEVER done something like that before. It was so much fun! And they tasted... good! It was a miracle, considering how there wasn't any buttermilk or confectioner's sugar or whatever and I halved everything, making there be much room for mistake. But they were good. They were.

Shh.... Secret

Remember that animation that we watched in Earth Science?

This.

I'm making one! Because Flash is cool! So don't tell Ms. VanVleet. Because this would make an awesome present; better than duct tape. Haha.

I'm thinking of also making one of those Mid-Latitude Low ones also. Any others that would be cool? Not something impossible, obviously.

But wouldn't that be cool? Come on, you know it is. Totally.

Shut up.

Anyway, I'm going to see Spring Showcase tomorrow, because ALLY MIRIN is in it along with other R2P people I may or may not actually know, probably not, but I like to think I do. Anyway, it's going to be awesome. And I heard that there was a Rent song and also Thriller and also THERE'S NO business like SHOW business... da da da da da daaaaaa I don't know that sonnggggg. But I have been singing it, so it'll be nice to see. I haven't ever been to a showcase before, where they do songs from musicals, and not a musical, so I'm kind of interested in how this works. Does it just go from scene to scene? Is there any dialogue? Is that spelled wrong? How do you spell it? Spell check thinks it's spelled wrong, but it doesn't know how to spell it either.

Have I mentioned how much I love spell check? Well I do. I don't know what I would do without it. I really don't.

Speaking of "I really don't," and repeating sentences in general, lets go back to something a little more nerdy (sorry Ally). I'm reading The Catcher in the Rye again and it's FANTASTIC oh my god it's amazing. He's such a liar, and so pathetic, and dorky, and awkward, and perverted, and hypocritical, and immature, and just..... all around pathetic, really. I drew a picture of him. On my note paper next to my bed (for when I need to write something down at night, for instance, page numbers, song lyrics, artists, things to look up, pictures of Holden Caufield.) Spell check thinks that that's spelled wrong too, by the way. I don't think it is.

I'm more than halfway through it, it's awesome. The writing is really amazing. Like, seriously. All the goddam phonies doing all the goddam phony things goddam. Again, that doesn't count as cursing, because I'm quoting a BOOK. And we all know that QUOTING is not the same thing. For example, saumensch.

Good bye, love you, sleep tight, don't let the bedbugs bite.... um.... THEY SMIILEEE WHEN THEY ARE LOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

My Immortal, the WORST fanfiction ever written

or possibly the best troll of all time.
note: all misspellings are on purpose, because I'm just copying what was there.

okay so first read this, please: http://encyclopediadramatica.com/My_Immortal
as much as you can, the more you read the more the actual story makes sense. not that it's POSSIBLE for this story to make sense, but it helps. Ah, no, it's broken now. Whatever. Hopefully you can understand it a little without it.

the basics: this is fanfiction. the "canon" story (original) of Harry potter is totally thrown away, as is spelling, grammar, and often just the English language. it's 44 chapters long, bur each chapter is like a page so yeah.
it's like a joke... but not. if it is a troll, it was insanely well thought out because apparently even her friend raven has a profile and whatever. if it's not a troll, Tara is probably the biggest idiot who ever lived.

some important translations:
goffik: gothic, n, adj, something that people who shop at hot topic, listen to goffik bands such. as good Charlotte and simple plan are. totally. they hate preps an posers. a prep is someone who is not suicidal and a poser is someone like, for instance, dumbledore, who wishes they were goffick.

fangz: thanks. this one took me awhile.

Skull: school. (geddit, cos shes goffik)

cloves: clothes. I got all the way to like, chapter 39 before knowing what this meant.

the characters don't make any sense so I'm not even going to try.... read some of that link and it'll help... a bit.

okay, here's the actual story: (AHH MY FIRST LINK IS BROKEN WHATEVER HERE:) http://myimmortalrehost.webs.com/chapters122.htm

not that you all really care, but I'm going to type my running commentary and favorite quotes here. if the thing is in quotes, it's a quote. if not, it's commentary. It might not be in order, sorry. I wrote it in a notebook on all these different pages so yeah.... also, if you see a word capitalized or spelled correctly, it's a typo on my part, sorry, it's just a habit. Watch out for the word "to" or "two" because if you see it it's supposed to be "2" by the way.

time to turn off spell check on my iPod...

please, it would be really cool if you read this. it's a seriously hilarious book. book. ha. right. book. anyway. how far can you read without laughing? i got to maybe the first authors note. ah its so pathetic.

"sum of dis chapta is xtremly scray. viower excretion advised."
hahahah excretion.

Volcemort was. It turned out that Voldemort wasn’t there. Instead the fat guy who killed Cedric was.

by the way, not a single element of this story is consistant. names, plots, dates, etc. ebony. enoby. loopin. darko.

"we talked to each other in silence."

ahhhh this makes no sense what is happening?!?!

im so confused! the plot keeps repeating but not in order and....... whaaaat?

goffik bands. right. you are so very punk. pop, maybe.

oh look, the author has a friend. hi raven, nice to know you gave her sweater back. if you seriously help edit this... if this is your combined brain power.... eauugh. you really can't spell.

"and a black die. (geddit instead of tie koz im goffik)"

Oh, the author is going on vacation in "transilvania".... right.... of course.

LUMPKIN! HA! OH MY GOD! supposed to be loopin, which is supposed to be lupin. HA.

His dogfather, serious black.

"I asked in a gothic voice"

He was sucking some blood from a Hufflepuff

Wait, didn't Draco commit suicide? How is he here? THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

"and then.................. we heard sum footsteps!"

Filth: Filch? Wait, Filch is the cat. Ms. Norris is the human.

By Jenny I assume you mean Ginny.

erective? SECRETIVE. secretive? Oh my god.......

"The bark lord is planning to kill the students! yelled Cornelia Fudge."

Rumbridge.

"NO!' I screamed sexily."

"suddenly................................................................................................................................................................... I fell asleep."

devisional/decisional= delusional

"I wok dis empt stret on da bolevrad of broken dremz' (I dnot own da lyrkz 2 dat song)"
What song? OH. Those were lyrics. You know, I'm pretty sure that Green Day hasn't copyrighted that exact spelling.

"Darko and Vampire started 2 beat him up sexily."

"Has anyone f***ing seen Draco?' I asked gothikally."

"I got up suicidally."

"everyone in the room started to cry happily"

Voldemint.

Professor McGoogle!

"Crosio! I shouted"

"And the time when Draco almost commited suicide and Vampire was so supportive." HAHAHAHAHA.

".... shouted snap but suddenly severus came in" they're different people? okay...

So yeah. I hope you read this book.

I meant to post this FOREVER ago but I haven't had time to type up all of the commentary yet. So hear you go. Seriously, read it. Again, here is the link: http://myimmortalrehost.webs.com/chapters122.htmand there you go. Read. Thanks. It's SO FUNNY. In a pathetic kind of way.

Thoughts? Do you think it's a troll or is she serious? Read the description? Did you enjoy the plot? Are Green Day and MCR and Panic! punk bands (hint: no)? What about Hot Topic? Is Tara a poser, just like Dumbledore? Please comment. NO ONE HAS COMMENTED on something that matters so I hope this matters, a little, enough for you to comment. I'm sad that no one said anything on my last post, the one about TSA, because that was fun. And no one even noticed I was gone.... so.... hmm...

Anyway, I'll keep posting anyway. I'm not like Tara. I don't beg for good reviews. Ha. Plus I like writing this. Because it's fun to pretend you have an audience.

Some books change. Some don't.

I just read Thirteen Reasons Why again, and it was good. If someone hasn't read it yet and wants to I'm bringing my copy tomorrow to lend to either the first person who asks or I see.

On the other hand, I also read Peeps, Scott Westefeld, this weekend, and it wasn't nearly as good. Very disappointing, seeing as it used to be my favorite book. I guess it's just not as good because I've read it like four times and so know all of the amazing things it indirectly teaches you about. Either way, I'll miss it. Love him. Scott Westerfeld, I mean. He's great. But yeah, Peeps wasn't as good this time. I need to find a good book.

Now I've heard these rumors that people haven't been able to find any more good books because they've read them all already. They're blaming it on the perfection of The Hunger Games. These people are all very wrong, because the Hunger Games WERE NOT THAT GOOD. They were mediocre. They were okay. They were like.... an okay idea, not carried out that well, with bad characters. I mean, I liked them, but where is this OBSESSION coming from? Seriously! Like adults and children really like them and they just aren't that amazing.

That said, it's been awhile that I've read something for the firs time that really struck me. It's been a long time. I might be developing the everything-good-out-there-has-already-been-read craze as well, though I'm trying not to. Truth is, I haven't had much time for reading. I need to go to the library. God. Really badly.

That, or I should try to read every Harry Potter again. I wonder if I can, after the musicals and the spoofs and the songs. I should also reread the Golden Compass series to understand it this time. And finish HHGTTG.

But see, I dint really want to. I want something new. Favorite books, anyone? I'm thinking science fiction.... I'm kind of in the mood... But now it's 2 in the morning, who knows what I'll want later. Actually, I need to read the Catcher. In the Rye again and understand it. And John Green.

Anything else? Anyone have any if those books, because I won't be able to get them. I'll just pretend to. Break resolutions.anyone have any favorite books that I haven't read already (hard to find, actually, though the library got some new ones recently so I dont recognize ALL of them anymore) or if I've read them already I wouldnsyill enjoy?

Need help.

Also, I didn't have time to watch Forrest Gump. Yet.

Movies, and EVENTS

I found it.

http://www.movshare.net/video/gwzqpnp7qqmbz

Are you happy, Aaron and Duncan and Malama and Jessie and Lindsey Y? Yeah. I thought you might be.

I'll watch it sometime this weekend, not right now.

But this means we can all still be friends.

FRIDAY WAS AWESOME! It was so much fun! I won first in Architecture and second in Video (out of two, and we were better, and I'm a little sad about it, because we were better and at least more classy. we didn't sound like we were about to start laughing any second.) and nothing in Graphic (but Sophie got first! I have the t-shirt! and I might make myself a t-shirt of my design, just because. Haha.)

I actually had NOWHERE to be all day officially so I just followed around people like Sophie and Jessie and Aaron and Lindsey and Esther, who did have some places to be. But mostly not, so we just had a lot of fun wandering around the campus (well, the technology building, at least) and walking in on different competitions.

I really enjoyed watching Engineering Structure, where they load all these heavy things like sand and bricks into/onto a bridge/tower (for high school) until it BREAKS with this BIG SLAMMING NOISE so it was entertaining to me, probably not as much for the people who've been working on them for the past months. Tech Bowl was also kind of fun to watch, with Jessie, who also wasn't doing it. We passed notes and made comments on the stupid judge and also the competition, especially the little genius boy in the green shirt and the trigger happy polyblend shirted guy, from the school that is genius and the school that hasn't yet gotten out of it's dorky stage and into it's nerdy/geeky stage, which is of course, less awkward. Because they're smart. And a little awkward, but the smart cancels it out.

It was a lot of fun, but then again, it's a competition, so you know, you'll just hear us complaining about it for the rest of the week, I don't think anyone is planning on talking about the good things, just the unfair judges. That tech bowl one was really stupid and got really pissy after Jesse Y. blocked a question after HE ASKED IF HE COULD and the problem solving fiasco was disappointing to my friends who should have gotten first place, but then NOBODY got first place, and then Engineering Structure for level one, because we all know what happened there. Lets call it a mass-DQ. Again, it's a competition, no one's going to be happy with their placing. I wish there was more competition in Architecture, DeWitt were the only entries, and we all did them last week, so it would be nice to see how mine compared to someone who maybe took more time on it?

But even if you hear us saying these things, you can know that it's not true. It was an awesome awesome day and it was SO MUCH FUN. So don't believe us when we say none of it was fair, or whatever. Because most of the day wasn't about that, and a lot of the time was spent sitting in the lunch booth thing on the second (third?) floor and talking, or walking back and forth between the gym and the tech building, and watching robots push each other off mats, or watch the underdog car win second, or making high school friends while watching their bridges being broken into pieces.

Yep. It was awesome.

And now you guys can no longer hate me or get me to jump off the bus, because I found the movie, and I am going to watch it. THIS WEEKEND. Maybe.

One more thing, please comment, I like it when I hear from all of you.

On a COMPLETLY unrelated but happy-making note, I am wearing a skirt WITHOUT tights and it's amazing, let ms tell you. Not having to awkwardly pull them up every five minutes or checking to see it it's still there (the skirt, I mean).
